Respiratory VIRAL PLUS ELITe MGB® Kit

Respiratory diseases are among the top 4 major causes of morbidity contributing to 4 million deaths annually. Each year, up to 20% of the worldwide population is affected by influenza viruses. Influenza viruses are the most common causes of respiratory infections. RNA viruses, transmitted via airborne droplets and contaminated hands. They are most common cause of lower respiratory infections in infants and immunocompromised patients, and lead to as pneumonia or bronchiolitis. RNA viruses are responsible for 600.000 deaths and for 4% of hospitalization infections in children. The most RNA viruses are Influenza A (FLU A), Influenza B (FLU B) Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) are the most common cause of acute respiratory infections. Respiratory Viral PLUS ELITe MGB® Kit is a qualitative multiplex nucleic acids reverse transcription and amplification assay for the detection and identification of the RNA of FLU A, FLU B, RSV and hMPV. The assay is CE-IVD validated on respiratory swab and broncho-alveolar lavage (BAL) samples, in combination with ELITe InGenius®, a fully automated sample-to-result solution.
