RINA ™ M14 is designed to bind nucleic acids to silica-coated iron oxide magnetic particles in the presence of chaotropic salts and alcohol, and to be eluted with low-concentration salt solutions after washing with alcohol. RINA ™ M14 composed from building elements like pulley and belt-based motion modules, stepper motors, parallel pipettes, heater, magnet, embedded driver and microcomputer. It has a touch screen user interface. Once the user has loaded the appropriate consumables indicated on the display to the RINA ™ M14 deck, the vNA isolation protocol is activated via the directions and keys on this screen.
RINA ™ M14 operates 14 samples in parallel thanks to 14 parallel micropipettes, which completes the VNA isolation in 63 minutes. RINA ™ M14 provides lysis of samples by heating and pipetting the samples in the lysis step alongside the chaotropic salt, detergent, carrier / crowd molecule and Proteinase K from the kit. While using magnets to control the magnetic particles, it uses pipetting and temperature for drying. It has UV lamp for decontamination of NA.
INTENDED USE
The Bio-Speedy® RINA ™ M14 Robotic Nucleic Acid Isolation System (RINA ™ M14) was developed to perform fully automated viral nucleic acid (vNA) purification from nasal swabs, nasopharyngeal swabs, nasopharyngeal aspirate, bronchoalveolar lavage, sputum and similar respiratory system samples using the Bio-Speedy® Viral Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit from Respiratory System Samples, * and in addition to those from mammalian cell cultures, mammalian cell cultures and their media using Bio-Speedy® RINA ™ 14 Viral NA Isolation Kit.
