01 Overview
Respiratory tract infection has been associated with high morbidity and mortality worldwide, and its symptoms may not indicate a particular causative agent. Early and accurate diagnosis of pathogens causing respiratory infections is important with appropriate antiviral or antibacterial therapy, initiating effective infection control measures and reducing hospital stay. Biospeedy® Respiratory System qPCR Panel allows detection / identification of viruses that cannot be routinely detected by conventional methods. Biospeedy® Respiratory System qPCR Panel is qPCR and RT-qPCR based method, and nasopharyngeal aspirate / lavage, bronchoalveolar lavage, nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab and sputum samples can be analyzed.
