Bio-Speedy® Salmonella spp, S. Enteritidis, S. Typhimurium Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is based on the detection of specific gene regions of Salmonella bacteria, Salmonella enterica subsps. enterica serovar Enteritidis and Salmonella enterica subsps. enterica serovar Typhimurium by real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). For this purpose, Salmonella spp-targeted qPCR is first applied to an unknown bacterial isolate using “Salmonella spp- Oligo Mix”. After the isolate is identified to belong to the genus Salmonella, qPCR treatment is repeated with other target-specific oligonucleotides (“S. Enteritidis-Oligo Mix” and “S. Typhimurium-Oligo Mix”) for serovar detection. The application steps can be summarized as follows:
1. qPCR is applied to the bacterial isolate with “Salmonella spp- Oligo Mix”.
2. For serovar detection in positive isolates; “S. Typhimurium-Oligo Mix” and “S. QPCR with Enteritidis-Oligo Mix” is applied by qPCR.
3. If any of the qPCRs targeting the Enteritidis and Typhimurium serovars are positive, the result is that the isolate is serovar positive and the experiment is terminated.
INTENDED USE
Bio-Speedy® Salmonella spp, S. Enteritidis, S. Typhimurium Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is used for the detection of Salmonella bacteria and used for the detection of Salmonella serovars (Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Enteritidis and Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium) from samples in which Salmonella spp. is positive.
